The Challenge: Unlike the "Using Existing Communications Sessions as Receiving Test Documents", the outgoing test data is a little complicated.
The Solution: The objective is to identify what files which records from the ERP system needs to be extracted for testing the map and/or a modification of it. Starting from the mailbox, a translation can be identified of which relates to a User File Definition (UFD) which relates to files.
a. Option 14 on an entry in the Work with Transaction Center Entries screen will give you the translation format and UFD (take note of these values).
b. From the mapper, find out the source file of the User File Definition.
c. Look up the logical file definition of the source file in b. and identify what are the physical files.
d. Create duplicate object (CRTDUPOBJ) all of the physical files identified in c. to a test library.
e. Add the test library in d. to the library list. Create duplicate object the logical established in b. to this test library (same location as the physical files in d.).
f. Copy the records based on the mailbox in a.
g. Identify the "Set ID" field of the header record.
h. Update the field identified in g. with the new trading partner value being tested.
i. Create a new Trading Partner Relationship with the trading partner ID from h. and translation format in a.
j. Add-to-TC overriding the library of the header file to the test library in d.
