The Challenge: I am calculating my unit price (IT1 4.0) based on the total net amount divided by the case quantity which gives me a 0.00. Is there a way to round the value so that I will see 0.01 instead or show the other decimal positions?
The Analysis: The reason why it is presenting the unit price as 0.00 because the Decimal-Element Property has been set to 2. This is set to <Variable> by default.
Increasing the number of decimal positions will display the other decimal positions. Try to make arrangements with your trading partner if this is possible.
The Wikipedia definition of HALF ADJUST is - A rounding process in which the least significant digit is dropped and, if the least significant digit is one-half or more of the number base, one is added to the next more significant digit and all carries are propagated.
The Solution: If the arrangement to increase decimals or making it <variable>, then the Target rounding feature can be activated to achieve the desired presentation of the value. You can see this under the [Options] button in the Define Mapping pop-up screen.
