Main Menu> Data Communications Menu> Network Selection Menu>select your target network>Communications Parameters> Network Configuration.
The CLP will receive a ten-byte alphanumeric value containing the master communication session number.
It will be fed to the USUBSSN API that will derive the file names of the documents to be transmitted.
Using the HD AK5.2 Trimming program did NOT work as the Pre-Communications exit program in our laboratory. But has worked as the Post-Communications exit program. For now, you would need to do a work-around. The communication script brings the files to the IFS where, the AK5.2 is stripped. Scripts will be added after this to send the modified file to the target trading partner.
There is also a way to isolate only the FA 997 to go through this process via Selective Send Subsets (only available for the following APIs: CED8622B - IX, CED8624B - SF and CED8627B - BZ).
