An ORGANIZATION is a subset of the software system and its components. When you access a specific organization, the software filters the library so you can view and work with the data for that organization only.

The following are practical uses of Organization:

1. Configure a filtered working environment for different divisions within your company or for specific trading partners. This environment includes the following components:

   1. • user file definitions

      • trading partner (address book)

      • envelope maps

      • trading partner relationships

      • translation formats

      • distribution lists

      • Transaction Center

2. Limit user access to the software components for an entire organization or within the organization
